The Taranaki Beekeepers Club is open to all those who are interested in keeping hives of bees for honey production or for pollination purposes.  The club has meetings for members every month to assist those members to get the best results from their hives by keeping them in good condition.

The monthly meetings usually consist of an illustrated lecture on the expected current state of member hives, what needs to be done to the hives over the following weeks, and to solve any problems that members have with their hives.

The Club owns two hives on the outskirts of town and these are used for Field Days - for practical demonstrations of hive manipulation and for “hands on experience” for new comers to Beekeeping.

The Club has Beekeeping gear for hire and is able to supply members with hives of bees if required.  The club is a member of the National Beekeepers Association of New Zealand and receives a copy of their magazine each month, which keeps us up to date with the latest developments.
